Is Privacy Guardian really private?Yes, it really is. Most digital identity providers require a government-issued credential to be used to provide age verification. This means that when that authentication occurs, that activity is logged against a third-party database. Though the information may be encrypted, there remains the possibility of that event being revealed through negligence or nefarious actions. With Privacy Guardian, we do not use government-issued credentials to do age verification. Our AI-based tech is able to use the camera in a user's phone or webcam to do a live age check based solely on an instant facial scan. Our system provides up to 99.5% accuracy without logging or storing any information or imagery of the user being verified. So, yes. Privacy Guardian really is private. It's in our name and we are committed to protecting user privacy while promoting age-appropriate online activity.

What is the technology that powers Privacy Guardian?Privacy Guardian is a certified Innovation Partner with Facetec and utilizes their proven age verification model for our live age check protocol. Additionally, Privacy Guardian offers a proprietary feature called "Vouchify" which allows a nearby responsible adult to vouch for an underage user using the same methodology. Vouchify steps in if the initial age check declines access to the user based on their facial age scan or if the application allows for an adult to permit an age-restricted user to proceed in appropriate circumstances. Privacy Guardian is powered by Envoc, a leading custom software application design and development firm with deep expertise in the digital identity and age verification standards. Envoc is a member of the AVPA (Age Verification Providers Association) and Envoc Founder and CEO, Calvin Fabre, is a member of the ISO (International Standards Board) working group focused on continuous development of industry standards on data and identity protection.
